Sanskriti Center

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has”

We also aspire for a world where everyone cares for the other, where love blossoms and hopes will fly ...where everyone lives with dignity and every children get education and be a responsible human being. Sanskriti center is our endeavour to achieve this objective. Its a dream project of Sanskriti. It acts as a centre of CHANGE. It hosts our various events and will be a center for Pushapanjali and Ullas. We have a plan to open an orphanage and old age home at the same place. So it will be a common place for the following activities :
• Ullas – Sanskriti's school for underprivileged children , will provide free education to underprivileged children
• Give shelter to orphans and old age people.
• Facilitate free computer education to poor students
• Home for Sanskriti's women empowerment activities, like sewing centre ,teaching soft toy making etc.
• Place where every student can get free career guidance
• It will host a small library
• Weekly free medical check up /consultation and awareness camps about health.

Such a center is in making in Bahadurgarh,Haryana. This centre will act as a model and after successful implementation of this project in Bahadurgarh , We want to set up such centers in as many places as we can. We have different problems in every part of country. At one hand we have lower CSR in one part of country, on the other hand we have lowest literacy rate in some other part .Sanskriti center will be a CHANGE center which will focus on the particular problem of that particular area.
The main target areas will be rural part of India where we need such a center of CHANGE. Let's dream for a world of happiness ,smile on every face and education for everyone and let's make this dream live through Sanskriti's efforts.
Sanskriti is a Hindi word which means...'parampara'...'tradition' ...We want to make this CHANGE a tradition for always in society !!!

Let's bring CHANGE through Sanskriti Center !!!

The Library Project

“A book is a best friend “

"A great library contains the diary of the human race."

“A library is a delivery room for the birth of ideas, a place where history comes to life."

“It is, however, not to the museum, or the lecture-room, or the drawing-school, but to the library, that we must go for the completion of our humanity. It is books that bear from age to age the intellectual wealth of the world.”
A little library, growing larger every year, is an honourable part of a man's history. It is a man's duty to have books. A library is not a luxury, but one of the necessaries of life

A library seems to be an essential part of a society. A library full of books and readers will definitely leads to a better tomorrow for everyone. In a country like ours, a library can play multiple roles. Many students don’t even have a proper place to study in their home. The library is such a place for them. For few others ,it can host a part of their career transformation as its having a vast source of knowledge. Its a place where everything related to education , will be there and it can play a crucial role in development of a particular area.
Keeping all these things in mind , Sanskriti started its first library in July2007 in Bahadurgarh. The library got an amazing response from community people. Today after around 4.5 years the library is having around 500 books and have regular visitors of every age group.
Our library is also a place of circulation of old school books. Students donate their books to library and we cirulate the books to the students who need them.
Now , we have a vision of opening a Sanskriti library in every village as a community library or a library in Govt. Schools.

Disha -Career Guidance Seminar

The biggest obstacle in achieving success is not the lack of opportunity but its not knowing where the opportunity exist !!!

If one doesn't know the destination , How can we expect someone to achieve it . Before starting a journey we need to know our destination.
This is almost true when we are choosing our career in student life. Youth is the future of our nation and they play a crucial role in nation development. Most of our country's population is living in villages. They are the heart of India. Students in rural part are very talented but usually they know nothing about their career path. In the student life, career guidance plays a very important role and it shapes the student's all life. Its the time when one can transform the life of a person to show him a proper path to achieve his dreams. The situation which we confronted is that even today students dont know about the IITs,IIMs,UPSC etc.So without proper career guidance, they dont realize their full potential.Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions a person will ever make. Unfortunately, many people make career choices without much career guidance.

“Dare to reach out your hands into the darkness to pull another hand into the light.”

This gave us an idea to do something for this. 'Disha' in Hindi means Direction. We started organizing career guidance seminars for students to guide them give them a direction to their dreams. We have made a template having all the career option listed for students. A career guidance booklet has been designed for students , we will soon start distributing this in our seminars. The Career guidance seminars are being appreciated by students and media. We have students who came after sometime and told us that Our seminars has made a difference in his life . This is something which helped us to move forward with the great spirit of bringing CHANGE !!!
We are now aiming at reaching to every village/Govt school to organize the Disha program.

Sanskriti giving 'Disha' , helping students to achieve their dream ...leading to a better tomorrow !!! Let's be the CHANGE !!!

“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”- Diane Mariechild.

As per census 2011 , India has a literacy of 74% , If we talk about the male /female literacy ,there is still a lot of difference. Its 82% for males while 65 % for females. On one hand , we have seen legends benchmarks like Kiran Bedi,Kalpana Chawla ,P.T Usha who excelled in their field of work and became ideals for many people but on the other hand ,we still have areas where women don't even know about their rights. We got the shocking facts about Child sex ratio in the 2011 census. We have a national CSR of 914 and the situation is even worse in few states. Affluent states like Haryana and Punjab having the lowest CSR.Gender equality and women empowerment is one of the goal for Millennium development goals by UN. Even today's modern era we can see the cases of dowry ,child marriage, female infanticides and sex selective abortions. These are definitely not sign of a developed nation.

We sensed the problem and thought what can be done on grass root level to change the scenario...How the CHANGE can be brought !!!!
we know that women’s empowerment is a tremendous resource for social change and a prerequisite in the
broader fight to bring the visionary goal of a brighter tomorrow for human being. We choose to focus particularly on economical independence and literacy which can be powerful tool to solve the issue. That will be done through Pushpanjali- Sanskriti's women empowerment initiative. We started with a free sewing centre for poor women. We will also include things like soft toy making, jute bags manufacturing etc. to make them self sufficient. Vocational trainings will also be organized at the Sanskriti center from time to time. By learning all this at Sanskriti center , these women can start some work of their own and can be a self sufficient. Later on , we have plan to arrange some work for them to help them financially. We are planning to start Sanskriti' adult literacy progrm at Sanskrit centre.

'Yatra nari pujyate, ramante tatra devta' (in hindi) is a Hindi shloka, means The angels resides at a place where there is respect for women. We need to make this saying true.

Let's dream for a world in which a person’s rights, responsibilities, opportunities and dignity are determined not by their status as male or female, but as a human being

ULLAS – A school for all

Children are the future of the nation. Our tomorrow depends on the present of the children. If we need a brighter tomorrow, we ll have to make a difference in present. India currently has the largest illiterate population of any nation on earth . For an emerging and developing country like Ours, Education for underprivileged children holds the key to the progress of the nation itself. Even after the implementation of Right to Education Act in our country, we still have millions of children out of school. School drop-outs are increasing. Child labour in some parts of the country and resistance to sending girls to school remain real concerns.
In Sanskriti , We strongly believe that Education is the ultimate solution to every problem in the country. Whatever the problem is ...population,unemployment,poverty,human rights,corruption...On the long run ,Education is the only effective solution to these problems. If we have an educated nation with strong moral values, We will definitely change the future , We can be the change makers.

Ullas is Sanskriti's initiative with a special focus on children education. We have started it with the aim of quality education for underprivileged children and child labours. The Ullas school in Bahadurgarh is in its most basic form as of now. We have started it and arranged some retired elder people of the local community to teach at the centre. We are putting our efforts to bring the child labours in the area to Ullas school. The school will aim at the free basic education for every child. We are committed to create a world in which all children, regardless of their gender, socioeconomic background or circumstances, have access to free, compulsory and quality education.

Educate → Empower --> CHANGE !!!

Let's be the CHANGE !!!
